About the team/role

From day one, you’ll be part of a high-impact, fast-paced team that plays a key role in ensuring DiDi’s marketplace remains healthy, efficient, and competitive. The Marketplace Strategy & Operations team is responsible for balancing supply and demand in real time, designing smart incentive strategies, and driving sustainable growth across our markets.

In this role, you’ll support the design, implementation, and evaluation of driver and passenger incentives, contributing directly to the performance and efficiency of the platform. You’ll gain hands-on experience in data analysis, business strategy, and cross-functional collaboration, and your work will directly impact how we improve marketplace dynamics.

You’ll also assist in building scalable frameworks and tracking tools, help monitor key business metrics, and contribute to testing new hypotheses that could later be rolled out regionally. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to real operational challenges and learn how to apply strategic thinking in a tech-enabled environment, with close mentorship and ownership from day one.

In this role, you'll be...

  • Support the design, execution, and evaluation of driver and passenger incentive strategies.

  • Help track key business metrics (such as how many users request and complete trips, how many drivers are available, and how efficiently the platform is running), and transform data into actionable insights to improve performance.

  • Collaborate in the testing of new marketplace hypotheses, including how to adapt strategies in oversupplied, undersupplied, or balanced conditions.

  • Build and maintain dashboards and trackers to give visibility to ongoing campaigns and experiments.

  • Have frequent opportunities to present findings and insights in performance reviews and cross-team meetings, contributing analytical and strategic input to both local and regional stakeholders.

  • Work closely with other teams such as Marketing, Operations, Product, Growth, and Finance to ensure local strategies are aligned with broader company goals and contribute to sustainable business impact.

  • We're eager to be in touch because you have...

    Required:

    • Educational Background: Studying Engineering, Business Administration, Economics or related fields — ideally with 1 year left before graduation.

  • Curiosity and drive to learn how to use data to make business decisions, even in ambiguous or fast-changing environments.

  • Strong analytical skills and structured thinking.

  • Clear communicator — able to synthesize information and highlight actionable insights.

  • Must-have:

    • Strong Excel skills.

  • Intermediate SQL knowledge.

  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish.

  • Strong organization and time management skills.

  • Desire to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and solve real business problems.

  • Preferred:

    • Experience using programming tools for data analysis (e.g. Python, R).

  • Past internship experience or project work in analytics, consulting, or operations.

  • You'll love working at DiDi because...
